Research papers

I have never liked writing papers of any kind.  Research papers I can deal with some times because they require little thinking on my part. All I have to do is look up stuff then write it down… more or less. With other papers I have to think and plan more, and I just don’t like to do that. But, back to the main topic; my main problem with research papers is that I don’t like the length that normally comes along with the paper. The longest of which I had to do was only about 5 or so pages for my college readiness class. That paper wasn’t too bad because I got to choose the topic that I could write about and it wasn’t like choose from this list of topics I could choose from anything I wanted. If I can write about something I like I don’t do too bad.

Race and higher education

Higher education is still talking about race because the higher education schools want to have a more diverse population. In the past only well off families were able to afford to have higher educations. Now that there are more people able to afford a higher education schools want more of those people. The schools have more ways to help support a more diverse population. From my perspective I can see that higher education is still talking about race because there are many scholarships and things along those lines that are for people of minority races. Different races also have clubs and other student organizations.

Diversity at WMU

Diversity is when many different things are expressed at the same time. Western Michigan University has a lot of diversity. There are people of all different races, religions, and sexual orientations; and has programs to help all of those different groups. WMU even has scholarships for diversity and multiculturalism. That helps to show that diversity is an important thing on this campus. Diversity is an important thing in all places because it gives you many different perspectives on what is happening. With those you can have a better understanding of what needs to get done.
